Trivandrum: The Kerala Police said to beware of fraudsters putting fake QR codes on top of the QR code sticker pasted for UPI payment on the outside of the business premises. The money will go to the fraudster’s account as we do not notice the fake sticker affixed on the outside of the shop while scanning the payment. Merchants make sure the QR code is theirs. Customers also pay attention when scanning.
