Alappuzha, Kerala: Kerala Police launched “Operation Toofan: The Narco Hunt,” a massive statewide anti-drug campaign aimed at eliminating narcotics networks and safeguarding students and youth from the dangers of drug abuse.
The operation has been initiated as part of the police department’s intensified efforts to curb the spread of narcotic substances, identify drug peddlers, and dismantle organized drug trafficking networks operating across the state.
Through coordinated raids, surveillance, awareness programs, and strict enforcement measures, the campaign seeks to create a drug-free environment and strengthen public safety. Special focus is being given to educational institutions and areas vulnerable to drug-related activities in order to protect the younger generation from falling into addiction and criminal influence.
The Kerala Police stated that “Operation Toofan” will continue across all districts with the cooperation of various law enforcement agencies and the public, emphasizing that community participation and timely information sharing are essential in the fight against narcotics.
