Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala Police on Friday received 46 new Gorkha jeeps from Force Motors Limited, said Mr. Manoj Abraham IPS, Cyber Dome ADGP, and Nodal Officer. “Police stations in the highlands of Kerala now have Gorkha 4 × 4 jeeps with many new features and capabilities.
The latest addition to police vehicles said ADGP. The price of each jeep was Rs.13.25 lakh and funds were made available for purchase under police modernization. This vehicle has an unmatched gradient of 35 degrees to take extreme gradients. These new vehicles will bring additional benefits to the police forces for Anti-Naxal operations in hilly areas.
