KOCHI: Kerala Police investigating the actress molestation case said blackmailing was the motive behind the kidnap and assault and the key digital evidence of the alleged criminal act has been recovered. There is no conspiracy angle in the incident that created an uproar, a top Police official said. The main accused ‘Pulsar Suni’ along with Martin staged and executed the entire operation on February 17, he said. “The motive behind the incident was blackmailing and the digital evidence of their criminal act has been recovered,” the officer said. The incident which was shot on a mobile phone was being searched by Police. Suni and Martin had planned the crime of abduction and assault of a celebrity woman for more than a month earlier to the incident. Later on only other accused has been involved’, he added. The Police officer said nothing can be established from the interrogation of the accused who is currently under Police custody many investigating teams, when asked about the alleged “conspiracy angle” and involvement of a powerful third party. “If anybody is not satisfied with the investigation the CBI can probe it, he said. Suni and his accomplice V P Vigeesh’s Police custody period ends tomorrow. Police arrested six persons including ‘Pulsar’ Suni, Martin and Vigeesh in connection with the incident.]]>
