Kolkata: On December 12, 2021, Patna resident Ms. Anshu Singh (23) came into Maidan Police Station to inform us that she had left her purse with her credit and debit cards, employee identity card, and cash worth Rs.10,000 in an Uber cab. She had the cab’s registration number, but no means of contacting the driver directly. We used the number to trace the driver’s mobile number, and the missing purse with its contents intact was recovered and handed over to her. As she left the station, she expressed her gratitude to Kolkata Police as well as to Sub-Inspectors Mr. Kalipada Mirdda and Mr. Srabanti Ghosh for their help.
