Kolkata: With great sorrow, we share with you the news that Sub-Inspector Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, the second officer of Ultodanga Police Station, left us forever following a sudden cardiac arrest on October 13. He was only 41 and leaves behind his wife and two children.
Having joined Kolkata Police in 2008, Aftab made a name for himself as an extremely competent officer and was posted to Garden Reach, Narkeldanga, and Entally police stations before his last posting at Ultodanga.
Some vacuums remain forever unfilled. Aftab’s death has caused one such vacuum within Kolkata Police. May his soul rest in peace, and we promise to stand by his bereaved family through thick and thin.
