Kolkata: Sudhir Ranjan Datta (82) and his wife Kakoli Dutta (75), both members of the ‘Pronam’ family, are residents of the Garfa Police Station area. Mrs. Dutta is a heart patient and frequently suffers from breathing trouble, as a result of which the couple always keeps an oxygen cylinder at home. Yesterday, that cylinder suddenly ran out of oxygen at around 1.00 a.m. Having tried to contact various sources for a replacement in vain, they finally reached out to Garfa Police Station. Civic Volunteer Mr. Tarun Ghosh arranged for the required cylinder and delivered it to the couple’s residence in a mere 20 minutes, just in time to avoid a possible tragedy. Mrs. Datta is now stable and on the road to recovery. We wish her all the best.
