Kolkata: ‘Utsarga’, the voluntary blood donation initiative of Kolkata Police. Blood donation camps were organized today by the Community Policing Wing, at three different locations of the city. Policemen from the Survey Park Police Station, Ultadanga Traffic Guard and 4th Battalion of Kolkata Armed Police donated blood.
A total of 194 blood donors donated blood today. Honorable Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Mr. Vineet Kumar Goyel IPS met the donors and encouraged and thanked them for their participation in this noble cause. Going forward, such endeavors will continue to meet the increasing demand for blood.
