Kolkata: This morning, at around 11.35 am, Sergeant Saptarshi Brahma of Jadavpur Traffic Guard spotted a teenage boy in tears at the 8B bus stop. Sensing trouble, he went up to the boy and asked what was wrong. It turned out that the youngster, a Class 10 student of a school in Dhakuria, was supposed to have reached school at 11.30, to take his ICSE pre-board exam. However, he had failed to do so owing to a road block created by a political gathering at the Bengal Lamp crossing.
Without further waste of time, Sergeant Brahma picked up the boy on his own motorbike, and not only did they reach the school in about five minutes, but Sergeant Brahma spoke to the school authorities and arranged that the student would be given a little extra time to complete his exam. We wish him all the best.
