Kolkata: At about 1pm this afternoon, Inspector Mr. Shaumik Sengupta, Additional OC, Shayambazar Traffic Guard, was on duty at Shyambazar Five Point crossing when Indrajeet Banerjee (48) rushed up to him in a panic, and told him that he had got off a private bus on route 91C at the crossing, leaving behind his laptop bag containing a laptop and other documents.
Inspector Sengupta at once informed Shyambazar Traffic Guard to ask Ultadanga Traffic Guard to look out for an east-bound bus on route 91C. The bus in question was soon intercepted by Sergeant Mr. Kalyan Dey of Ultadanga Traffic Guard at Gouribari crossing, and the bag and laptop was recovered. Inspector Mr. Sengupta then personally accompanied Mr Banerjee to the crossing of Arabindo Sarani and Raja Dinendra Street, where Mr Banerjee identified his property, which was handed over to him on the spot. Needless to add, he has expressed his gratitude and heartfelt thanks to us and Kolkata Traffic Police.
