Kullu, Himachal Pradesh: In a significant move against drug trafficking, the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF), Kullu District, apprehended two individuals from Punjab with 11 grams of Chitta (heroin) and ₹31,000 in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug sales.
On 19 July 2025, while conducting routine patrols near PNB Bank in Seuwag, ANTF personnel noticed suspicious behavior by two men. Acting promptly, the team intercepted and questioned them. A thorough search led to the seizure of narcotics and cash from their possession.
The Kullu Police, under the guidance of senior officers, have reiterated their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy towards drug smuggling. This successful operation showcases the vigilance and swift response of the force in curbing narcotics from reaching the community.
Further investigation is underway to trace the network and origins of the supply.
