Kurnool: The 76th Indian Independence Day Celebrations were conducted at the Local Police Parade Grounds.
The Minister of State Finance, Planning, Commercial Taxes, Legislative Affairs, Skill Development and Training and District In-charge Minister Buggana Rajendra Nath participated as the Chief Guest in the ceremony and received the police salute and unfurled the national flag.
Later, Minister Buggana Rajendra Nath, District Collector P. Koteswara Rao along with District SP Mr. Siddharth Kaushal IPS inspected the armed forces from the parade vehicle. AR, Civil Police, Traffic Police, Home Guards, Fire, Scouts and Guides platoons organized March Past.
On this occasion, the minister read out a message to the people about the development programs undertaken and implemented by the state government in the district.
Officials paid tributes to the family members of the freedom fighters. Certificates of appreciation were given to those who excelled in their duties.
MLAs Katasani Rambhupal Reddy, Hafeez Khan, Kangati Sridevi, Kurnool Mayor B. Y. Ramaiah, JC Rama Sundar Reddy, Kurnool City Commissioner Mr. Bhargav Teja, Additional SP Mr. D. Prasad, Nagababu, DSPs, CIs, RIs, families of freedom fighters, students, people and officials participated.
