Medchal–Malkajgiri, Telangana: In a major crackdown on property fraud, the Keesara Police have successfully busted a land grabbing racket and apprehended multiple accused involved in two separate cases of fraudulent property transactions.
The cases were registered based on complaints received on March 16 and 17, 2026, from victims alleging illegal transfer of their properties through forged documents. Acting swiftly, police registered cases (Cr. No. 241/2026 and 248/2026) and launched a detailed investigation.
During the probe, special teams were formed, leading to the apprehension of key accused, including masterminds who orchestrated the fraud. Investigations revealed that the accused operated in a well-planned conspiracy, using forged documents such as fake death certificates, fabricated family records, and fraudulent gift settlement deeds to illegally grab valuable properties.
The accused adopted a systematic modus operandi by targeting vacant or vulnerable plots, impersonating rightful owners or legal heirs, and executing fake registrations for wrongful gain.
Police seized mobile phones and forged property documents, including sale deeds and gift deeds, which played a crucial role in the investigation.
All arrested accused have been remanded to judicial custody, while efforts are underway to trace and apprehend the absconding accused.
The operation was carried out under the supervision of senior officers, including DCP Sri CH. Sridhar, IPS, and ACP Sri S. Chakrapani, along with the dedicated efforts of the Keesara Police team. Recommendations have been made to recognize the team’s prompt and effective action.
Police have also urged citizens to exercise caution and verify property documents thoroughly before entering into transactions.
This successful operation highlights the commitment of the police in curbing organized property fraud and safeguarding public interests.
