In view of the National Mega Lok Adalat to be held on the 12th of this month, 16 sitting benches have been set up in the Rangareddy District Court and 3 other places in Rachakonda limits. To address e-petty cases and cases booked under the Disaster Management Act, Epidemic disease act as part of the Mega Lok Adalat, the Pre-Lok Adalat was set up today on 5th March 2022 in three function halls along with District court Rangareddy under the Rachakonda Commissionerate. Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat IPS was the chief guest at the function held at the Rangareddy District Court for this event. DLSA Secretary Mrs. Sridevi presided over the function while DJ Narsi Reddy and other judges Raadhakrishna Chouhan, Kiran, Milind Kamble garu and police officials were present.
During the event, the Commissioner of Police and judges addressed the people and clients who had come to the Lok Adalat to resolve their cases. Rachakonda Commissioner of Police Mr. Mahesh Bhagwat said that for the last two years, cases have been registered under various sections of the Disaster Management Act and Epidemic disease act against those who violated the lockdown during lockdowns and those who turned around without wearing a mask. Thousands of these cases were registered and violators were fined one thousand rupees each. As the fine amount was high, many people did not pay the fine. As a result, cases against all of them are pending. The commissioner pointed out that all such persons have a good chance of finalizing their cases by paying one hundred rupees in this Lokadalat and all those who have been fined for taking advantage of such a discount should immediately come to court and finalize their cases by paying a fine of one hundred rupees. He said the opportunity would be there until the 12th March of this month only. He also said that the Lok Adalat was an opportunity for all those who were wasting their time wandering around the courts around police stations to finalize cases against each other over small matters, adding that all compoundable offenses in the Lok Adalat could be closed if the clients came forward and compromised. Any pending cases against civilians may lead to denying passport or Government jobs and other benefits.
Commissioner Mr. Bhagwat suggested that they should take this opportunity to resolve their cases. In the various Lok Adalats held last year, the Rachakonda Commissionerate was the first in the state to settle over eight thousand cases. He said that even in the ongoing National Lok Adalat, staff officers of various police stations of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate were actively involved in resolving a large number of cases. The commissioner suggested that a large number of people should participate in the Lok Dalat, which will be held till the 12th of this month, to resolve their cases. CP Rachakonda has personally thanked MSJ Rangareddy District court I/C principal District and session judge Sri Thirupati garu for his proactive approach in conducting pre mega lok Adalat.
