Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand, May 11, 2025: In a heartwarming display of prompt action and compassionate policing, the Uttarkashi Police successfully reunited a pilgrim who had gone missing with her family during the Yamunotri Dham Yatra.
Mrs. Anita Panchoriya, a 48-year-old devotee from Varda, Maharashtra, got separated from her family amidst the heavy footfall at the sacred shrine on Saturday. Distressed and alone, she approached the local police team stationed at the Dham for assistance.
Head Constable (Intelligence) Sandeep Kavi, upon receiving the information, sprang into action and coordinated efforts swiftly and sensitively. With patience and diligence, he traced her family members and ensured her safe reunion with them in a short span of time.
The devotee and her family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the police, appreciating the alertness and humane approach shown by the personnel on duty.
