Bhopal: The smart use of fingerprint science in the investigation was jointly conducted by the 22nd All India Fingerprint Directors Conference organized by the National Crime Records Bureau, New Delhi. Madhya Pradesh got first place in the country under the competition (“SMART USE OF FINGERPRINT SCIENCE IN INVESTIGATION”). Additional Director General of Police and Inspector General of Police, State Crime Records Bureau, Police Headquarters Bhopal has congratulated the winning fingerprint experts for their commendable work.
It is noteworthy that the 6-year-old twin sons of Satna’s well-known Ayurvedic oil businessman Brijesh Rawat, Shreyansh and Priyansh, were kidnapped from inside the bus from the school premises of Chitrakoot on 12 February 2019. After collecting a ransom of twenty lakhs, the kidnappers killed the twin brothers and threw the body in the Yamuna river. Police had arrested 6 accused. One of the accused committed suicide by hanging himself in the Central Jail. The possible fingerprints were collected by the fingerprint team which proved to be important evidence in the court. On the basis of which the Hon’ble Court had punished the remaining five accused of kidnapping and murder twice each with life imprisonment and fine.
This achievement achieved by the Finger Print Team was included in the Smart Use of Finger Print Science in Investigation competition in the 22nd All India Fingerprint Directors Conference organized by the National Crime Records Bureau, New Delhi from 28th October to 29th October. In which both the fingerprint experts jointly got the first position.
