<![CDATA[Mr.Selvakumar (25), s/o. Mr.Vasudevan of T.Kokkulam, Thirumanglam, Madurai district, was pursuing his under graduation at a private college in Madurai. On 24.3.2018, he met with an accident near Thanichiyam. He was admitted in Meenakshi Mission hospital, Madurai where he was declared brain dead on 27.03.2018. His relatives agreed to donate his organs. Accordingly, his heart and lungs were taken to Chennai by flight on 27.03.2018. The organs were sent from the hospital to the Madurai Airport through ambulance within 18 minutes . The following Madurai City Traffic Police Officers (1) Mr.Joseph Nixson, AC, Town Traffic (2) Mr.Ravichandran, AC, Tallakulam Traffic (3) Mr.Parthasarathi, Inspector, Avaniyapuram Traffic (4) Mr.Selvin, Inspector, Tallakulam Traffic (5) Mr.Chandrasekar, Inspector, Theppakulam Traffic (6) Mr.Jeyakumar, RSI, Mathichiyam Traffic, made the necessary traffic arrangements to ensure that the organs reached the airport at the earliest. Mr. Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Madurai City and Mr. Arun Balagopalan, IPS, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic, Madurai City appreciated the above Traffic Police Officers for their good work. The sincere services of the ambulance drivers ( 1) Mr.T.Pothiraja, 2) Mr.T.Perumal Moorthy were also appreciated.]]>
