Madurai, Tamil Nadu: In a commendable initiative to enhance road safety and encourage responsible driving, the Usilampatti Traffic Police, in collaboration with a private organization, conducted a road safety awareness campaign at the Thevar Statue junction in Madurai District.
As part of the Tamil Nadu Police’s ongoing efforts to reduce road accidents, the campaign aimed to sensitize motorists—especially two-wheeler riders—about the importance of helmet use and safe driving practices.
Unique Awareness Campaign:
To positively reinforce good behavior, helmet-wearing riders were appreciated and rewarded with saplings and small gifts, encouraging more citizens to follow traffic rules voluntarily. Officers from the Traffic Wing and Law and Order Police actively participated in the campaign and personally interacted with the public to convey key road safety messages.
Police Commitment to Public Safety:
This initiative reflects the proactive approach of the Tamil Nadu Traffic Police in fostering a culture of safety and responsibility among motorists. By recognizing and rewarding law-abiding citizens, police aim to set a positive example and inspire wider compliance with traffic rules.
