<![CDATA[Hyderabad: Mr. Datta Padsalgikar, Maharashtra Director General of Police visited the second best police station in India which is located in Hyderabad on Sunday. This police station is located in Punjagutta and has bagged the second best police station award in the country. The visit was conducted by Mr. Padsalgikar, along with DGP Mr. Mahender Reddy, Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Mr. Anjani Kumar and Additional DGP Mr. Ravi Gupta and they spent nearly 90 minutes at the Punjagutta police station and was impressed by the use of technology. An initiative by the Punjagutta police station is the bicycle patrolling, one of the busiest in the Hyderabad Commissionerate, had also impressed the Maharashtra Police Chief. Inspector B Mohan Kumar said that Mr. Padsalgikar was surprised to see a police station maintained on a par with corporate offices, and the use of various technology innovations and soft skills of the staff while responding to the public. The Punjagutta police station provides various facilities such as an interrogation centre, stress-free zone and a gym unlike any other police station in the State. It was considered as the second best in the country in a survey conducted by the Quality Council of India and Ministry of Home Affairs in January this year. The Telangana State Police headquarters was visited on Saturday by Mr. Padsalgikar to study and understand the Smart Policing Initiatives. ]]>
