Tuticorin: Acting on the orders of Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police Dr. L. Balaji Saravanan and under the supervision of Tuticorin City Sub-Division Police Assistant Superintendent Mr. Kelkar Subramanya Balchandra IPS, a special police team led by Inspector (in-charge) of Thoothukudi South Police Station Mr. Prem Anand and Sub Inspector Mr. Ravikumar apprehended a suspicious individual near Tuticorin Rose Park during a patrol yesterday (18.06.2024). The person was identified as Sangeethamani alias Singam, son of Murugan (39), from 3 Cent Anthonyyarpuram, Tuticorin. He was found in possession of 1 kg 200 grams of ganja intended for sale. The police promptly arrested Murugan alias Singam and seized the ganja. A case has been registered, and the Thoothukudi South Police Station is conducting an investigation.
