West Bengal, Purba Bardhaman: On November 11, 2023, a complaint was filed at the Galsi Police Station regarding a 17-year-old minor girl who had left home without informing her family. Based on this complaint, a case was registered. Since then, the investigating officer from Galsi Police Station made persistent efforts to locate the girl, but initial attempts were unsuccessful. Undeterred, the officers continued the investigation with patience and determination.
Finally, on December 4, 2024, with the approval of the Honorable Superintendent of Police, a team from East Burdwan Police traveled to Rajasthan. On December 7, 2024, with assistance from the Palri-M Police Station, the officers rescued the minor from Poshaliya village, located approximately 200 km from Jodhpur, and apprehended the accused.
On December 10, 2024, both the minor and the accused were brought back to East Burdwan. On December 11, 2024, they will be presented before the East Burdwan District Court.
