Karnataka, Mysuru City, May 6, 2025 – In a commendable display of commitment to justice and public service, the Mysore City Police conducted a Property Return Parade at the premises of the Police Commissioner’s Office under the leadership of Police Commissioner Mrs. Seema Latkar, IPS.
Held in the afternoon hours, the event witnessed the return of recovered stolen property worth ₹4,23,60,000 to rightful owners. The properties were recovered from 20 major accused persons, two of whom are interstate offenders, apprehended in connection with various theft and burglary cases.
The recovered assets handed over during the parade included Gold Jewellery: 5 kg 320 grams, Silver Articles: 6 kg 246 grams, Cash: ₹13,54,500, and Vehicles: 52 two-wheelers, 9 cars, and 8 goods transport vehicles.
The return ceremony was conducted in the presence of Deputy Commissioners of Police – Shri Mutturaju M, IPS (Law & Order) and Shri Sundar Raj (Crime & Traffic) – along with Sub-Division Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs), other senior officers, station personnel, and members of the public.
Commissioner Seema Latkar congratulated the investigative teams for their relentless efforts in solving the cases and emphasized the importance of community cooperation in crime prevention and reporting. She also reiterated the department’s dedication to restoring citizens’ faith in the rule of law and police service.
This initiative not only brought relief to dozens of citizens who recovered their stolen property but also showcased the efficiency and integrity of Mysuru’s law enforcement efforts in tackling crime.
