Tamil Nadu, Tuticorin: National Unity Day is celebrated annually on October 31st, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, with a pledge to uphold the unity and integrity of India. In accordance with the directives of Tuticorin District Superintendent of Police, Mr. Albert John, IPS, and led by Ramasubramania Perumal, Executive Officer of the Ministry of Police, the pledge was taken on 30.10.2024. The pledge stated: “I solemnly pledge to dedicate myself to maintaining the unity, integrity, and security of India and to actively promote these values among my fellow citizens. I commit to preserving the harmony of our united nation, inspired by the vision and efforts of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. I vow to contribute to the internal security of my country.” The District Police Office ministerial staff and police officers participated in the oath-taking ceremony.
