Girls shape the present and future of humanity and every year October 11 is observed as the International Day of the Girl Child to raise awareness against the denial of girls’ rights and gender discrimination against them. There are many forms of discrimination, segregation and violence against girls in the world. Social action is needed to protect their rights and empower their dreams. It should start from home.
