Pithoragarh: On the 11th of April 2023, the Operation Mukti team in Pithoragarh, India conducted a thorough checking campaign at the border barrier ghat outpost of the district to prevent human trafficking. The team worked under the supervision of Deputy Superintendent of Police Operation/Nodal Officer, Mr. Parvez Ali, and was directed by Superintendent of Police Pithoragarh, Mr. Lokeshwar Singh, in accordance with orders received from the Police Headquarters.
The primary objective of the campaign was to prevent human trafficking, which is a growing concern in the region. The team also focused on raising awareness among the people about the issues of child labor and child beggary.
