Pithoragarh: S.O.G. and Gangolihat police station, took joint action, and arrested two persons carrying 50-50 marks of Rajasthan brand in pickup vehicle, 85 boxes and 06 bottles of illegal English liquor and seized the vehicle.
On the order issued by Superintendent of Police, Pithoragarh Mr. Lokeshwar Singh IPS and as per the orders of the Circle Officer Pithoragarh on 25.11.2021, in-charge SOG Mr. Javed, in order to completely curb the tendency of drugs under the direction of Mr. Anil Singh Manral and to take strict action in keeping a watchful eye on those smuggling/selling illegal drugs. Under the leadership of Hassan and SHO Gangolihat, the police team under the leadership of Mr. Dinesh Chandra Singh, acting jointly on the information of the informer, Chowki Panar While checking on the barrier, the pickup vehicle bearing registration number- HR 66B 7075 was checked by stopping, in which the accused respectively Prakash Yadav alias Devraj son Basti Ram, Age- 35 years and Pawan Yadav, son of Udaybhan, age- 32 years, were present in the said vehicle with a total of 50-50 marks of Rajasthan brand- 85 boxes and 06 bottles of illegal English liquor that were being transported. On which both the accused were arrested and a case was registered against them under Section 60/72 Excise Act at Gangolihat police station and the above vehicle used for transporting liquor was also seized. The accused persons are being produced in the Hon’ble Court.
