AURANGABAD: A culprit having a several criminal record has been arrested by police in connection with the number of chain snatching incidents. The incidents were recently reported to the police from the region when a woman of aged 62 had been robbed of her two gold chains. The accused known as Rahul alias Rana Soluke aged 19 have been allegedly involved in number of offences and registered cases against him at different places also have been found. The criminal activities of him had been reported to the police when the woman of Garkheda area near Dutt Temple lost her two gold chains on the night of August 20 at around 9:30 pm. It is said that while she was leisurely walking in front of her house the criminal snatched her precious jewelry and immediately fled from the spot. The jewelry was weighing around 14 grams. A policeman privy to the investigation informed Ghanshyam Sonawne an assistant of Pundaliknagar police station saying that the description given by the complainant complemented with the detail of the accused. He even admitted the role of involvement in the recent chain snatching incident. His companion involved in the same crime managed to escape from the police. Police seized a bike of the accused and other stolen gold chains said the official. In addition, police said that the accused is a habitual offender and his involvement in the criminal cases have been registered even in Chikalthana Police station of Aurangabad.]]>
