Hyderabad City, Telangana: The Sultan Bazar Police, Khairatabad Zone, arrested a previous offender involved in a servant theft case and recovered ₹5,04,900 of the stolen cash, along with two mobile phones purchased using the stolen money, the accused’s mobile phone, and the vehicle key.
The accused, Kuthadi Hari Kumar (33), employed as a driver by a businessman, allegedly stole ₹5.50 lakh from his employer’s car on July 9, 2026, at Bank Street, Koti, after retaining the vehicle keys while the complainant was shopping. He fled to Kurnool after committing the theft. A case was registered at Sultan Bazar Police Station in Cr. No. 224/2026 under Section 306 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Based on technical evidence and credible intelligence, the police apprehended the accused at Shadnagar Bus Stand. Investigation revealed that the theft was motivated by personal financial distress and resentment over perceived inadequate compensation from his employer.
The accused has a criminal history involving serious offences, including murder, theft, and escape from judicial custody. The case was detected by the Sultan Bazar Police under the supervision of senior officers of the Khairatabad Zone.
