Dindigul, Tamil Nadu: An unidentified person broke into the home of Balakrishnan—a resident of Kethaiyerumbu near Oddanchatram—and stole 32.5 sovereigns of gold jewelry along with silver items. Oddanchatram Police Inspector Lingapandian, Sub-Inspector Sivaraja, and their team registered a case and conducted an investigation. The inquiry revealed that Rajasekar (aged 31) from Kathiriyan Kulam was the one who had committed the theft. Subsequently, the police took custody of Rajasekar—who was already incarcerated in Madurai Central Prison in connection with a separate theft case—and recovered the stolen 32.5 sovereigns of gold jewelry and silver items.
