Bengaluru City, Karnataka: In a transparent and legally compliant initiative, the New Town Police Station successfully disposed of 24 unclaimed motorcycles through a public auction conducted in accordance with the orders of the competent court.
The motorcycles had been lying in the police station premises after being seized in various cases. As no rightful claimants came forward or the vehicles remained unclaimed despite due process, the auction was carried out following the prescribed legal procedures.
The initiative helped clear long-pending unclaimed property from the police station, improve the management of seized vehicles, and ensure compliance with court directives. It also optimized the use of police station space while maintaining transparency and accountability in the disposal process.
The successful auction reflects the police department’s commitment to efficient property management, adherence to legal procedures, and effective administration. It also demonstrates the department’s focus on maintaining organized police facilities and ensuring that unclaimed assets are disposed of through a fair and lawful process.
