Warangal City, Telangana: A total of 352 mobile phones—valued at approximately ₹50 lakh—that had been lost or stolen within the Warangal Police Commissionerate limits were tracked and recovered using the Central Equipment Identity Register (CEIR) portal. Warangal Police Commissioner N. Swetha, IPS, handed these phones over to the owners on Tuesday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Police Commissioner advised victims to immediately file a complaint via the CEIR portal if their cellphones are lost or stolen. She commended the IT Cell team for their efficiency in tracing and recovering the mobile phones.
DCPs Akint Kumar, Dhara Kavitha, Rajamahendra Naik, and Kishore Singh, along with Additional DCPs, ACPs, Inspectors, Station House Officers (SHOs), Special Wing officials, and other police personnel from the Commissionerate, participated in the event.
