Tamil Nadu, Tirunelveli: Santosh Hathimani, I.P.S., assumed office as the new Commissioner of Police for Tirunelveli City on January 1, 2025. An IPS officer since 2011, he has held various key positions, including Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Mayiladuthurai, Nagapattinam district; Deputy Commissioner of Police (DC) in Tirunelveli City; Superintendent of Police (SP) in Pudukkottai and Kanchipuram districts; and Deputy Commissioner of Police in Thiruvallikeni, Chennai. Recently promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), he now serves as the 48th Commissioner of Police for Tirunelveli City.
