Warangal City, Telangana: Warangal Police Commissioner N. Swetha, IPS, unveiled the poster for the “Suraksha Ka Tiranga – Cyber Swatantra Telangana” (Tricolor of Safety – Cyber-Independent Telangana) cyber awareness campaign at the Police Commissioner’s office on Tuesday. This state-wide campaign is being organized by the Telangana Cyber Security Bureau, Hyderabad, to coincide with the month of Independence (August 2026).
Speaking on the occasion, the Commissioner of Police (CP) stated that extensive awareness programs regarding the prevention of cybercrimes would be conducted throughout the month of August. She advised the public to remain vigilant against cyber-enabled financial frauds, particularly stock investment scams and business investment scams.
The CP urged everyone to adopt the three key principles of the “Suraksha Ka Tiranga” campaign message: “Stop – Think, Verify the Facts, and Enhance Cyber Security.”
She announced that, starting August 5, 2026 (National Cyber Awareness Day), month-long cyber security awareness programs would be held across the Warangal Commissionerate. These programs will involve the participation of schools, colleges, government offices, banks, business establishments, industries, women’s groups, voluntary organizations, resident welfare associations, and the general public.
She advised the public to call the 1930 helpline immediately if they fall victim to cyber fraud. It was stated that building a cyber-aware, cyber-secure, and cyber-independent Telangana is possible only if every citizen remains vigilant.
