Chennai: Joining the police force for a living. A constable has been working tirelessly to make his childhood dream come true for 12 years. He realized his dream of becoming a professor. Aravinda Perumal (34) from Malayalam Medu in Tirunelveli was selected for the post of constable in 2011 and joined the post of constable.
An economics graduate, he works at a local station. He appealed to the police to help him realize his dream of becoming a professor since childhood. He was assisted by the district police. With this, he did his Ph.D. at Tirunelveli Manonmaniyam Sundaranagar University in 2014.
He completed a Ph.D. on the economic status of workers in the unorganized sector and graduated this year. Arvind’s grip on economics was rewarded. Arvind, who has been in the police department for 12 years, has now got a job as an assistant professor. He got a job in a Hindu college in Nagercoil, Kanyakumari district. With this, Arvind’s happiness knew no bounds. He thanked the police officers who helped him make his dream come true.
