Delhi: Mr. Than Singh derives immeasurable satisfaction and tranquility from dedicating himself to the well-being of these children. He firmly believes that by extending a helping hand and offering them the support they need, he can become the driving force behind a transformative journey in their lives. The opportunity to make a difference in the lives of these underprivileged children fills his heart with profound joy and purpose.

In the midst of the challenges he faces as a constable, where there are no fixed working hours and duty demands his attention around the clock, Than Singh perseveres with unwavering determination. Balancing his responsibilities as a police officer and his commitment to teaching these children, he exemplifies the power of dedication and hard work. The fact that his police posting and the pathshala are located in the same vicinity allows him to efficiently manage both aspects of his life.

For Mr. Than Singh, the fulfillment he experiences while working for these children transcends any other form of contentment. He recognizes that even the smallest acts of support and guidance can have a profound impact on their lives. As he witnesses the positive outcomes and transformation within these young individuals, his pride and sense of accomplishment soar.

With utmost humility, Than Singh acknowledges that he has been blessed with the opportunity to create a nurturing environment for these children. By providing them with a safe space to learn, grow, and thrive, he mitigates the risk of them succumbing to the hardships of their circumstances or straying onto unfavorable paths. Beyond merely teaching academic subjects, his mission is to instill values, cultivate good behavior, and shape the character of these children, empowering them to lead purposeful lives and become responsible citizens.

The overwhelming support he receives from various stakeholders, along with the assistance of 50 dedicated volunteers, enables the smooth functioning of Than Singh Ki Pathshala. Through generous donations of food, uniforms, and books, the pathshala is able to sustain itself without relying on monetary contributions. This collective effort symbolizes the power of compassion and the potential for society to come together for the betterment of its most vulnerable members.

Additionally, Than Singh’s collaboration with DCP Sagar Khalsi resulted in the enrollment of nearly 70 children in government-run schools. While these children now attend formal education institutions, they continue to rely on the pathshala to strengthen their foundational knowledge, ensuring they can excel alongside their peers. Than Singh takes immense pride in sharing that ten of his students have even achieved top positions in their respective schools, a testament to the impact of his teaching and the dedication of these remarkable children.

The pathshala has become a beacon of hope and opportunity for children residing in areas such as Raj Ghat, Vijay Ghat, Shantivan, Red Fort, and the vicinity of the Lohe-wala-pul (Old Yamuna Bridge). Each day, a diverse group of children between the ages of 3 and 15 eagerly flock to the Sai Baba temple located at the Red Fort parking area, where Than Singh and his team of volunteers eagerly await their arrival. In a heartwarming display of community solidarity, battery rickshaw owners have selflessly volunteered their services to ensure the safe transportation of these children from their homes to the pathshala.

Operating every day of the week, including Sundays, the pathshala’s classes commence at 3 pm and conclude at 5:30 pm. This unwavering commitment to providing education and support demonstrates Than Singh’s resolute dedication to the holistic development of these children. By cultivating an atmosphere of learning, he strives to create an environment where these young individuals can thrive and stay away from potential dangers that may arise when their parents are away at work.

Than Singh’s profound conviction in the power of education and the transformative potential it holds for these children serves as a beacon of inspiration for all.
