Vellore: On behalf of the Vellore district police, various measures are being taken in connection with drug eradication. Subsequently, a consultation meeting was held with drug shop owners and courier company executives at Vellore District Superintendent of Police office. District Superintendent of Police Mr. Rajeshkannan IPS presided.
During his speech in the meeting, there was a discussion regarding prevention of drug smuggling and sale. Also, the pharmacy managers are required to get the prescription prescribed by the doctors to the public who come to their shops to buy the medicines and then dispense the medicines. Some drugs are used as drugs. These should be prevented, he said.
