Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh: In a proactive step toward crime prevention and community welfare, the Srikakulam District Police conducted counseling sessions for rowdy-sheeters and individuals with a history of misconduct across various police station limits in the district. The initiative was carried out under the guidance of District SP Mr. K.V. Maheswara Reddy, IPS, as part of the department’s preventive policing strategy.
During the sessions, police officials interacted personally with the participants, urging them to abandon criminal activities, maintain good behavior, resolve disputes peacefully, and lead law-abiding lives. They were advised to stay away from unlawful acts, anti-social activities, and unnecessary altercations that could disturb public peace.
The counseling program reflects the Srikakulam Police’s people-centric approach, emphasizing rehabilitation, behavioral change, and crime prevention rather than enforcement alone. By encouraging individuals to reform and become responsible citizens, the police continue to strengthen community harmony, reduce repeat offences, and build a safer and more peaceful society.
