Uttara Kannada, Karnataka: Jagadish Vasu Mogera (33), a rowdy sheeter under the jurisdiction of Bhatkal Rural Police Station, has been deported from Uttara Kannada district to Mysore city for a period of 6 months. According to police information, a total of 6 criminal cases has been registered against Jagadish in Bhatkal Rural and Murdeshwar police stations. He is accused of being involved in serious crimes including assault, attempt to murder, extortion, and cases under the SC/ST Atrocities Act. The police had mentioned in the report that the accused threatens the public, puts pressure on witnesses, attacks even for trivial reasons and is likely to endanger public peace and law and order through his goon activities. In this context, the Special Executive Magistrate and District Superintendent of Police, who examined the proposal submitted by the Inspector of Bhatkal Rural Police Station, have issued an order to deport him from Uttara Kannada district to the Ashokapuram Police Station in Mysore city for a period of 6 months with effect from July 29, 2026 under the Karnataka Police Act. As per the order, the Bhatkal Rural Police Station took Jagadish to the Ashokapuram Police Station in Mysore city and produced him before the station house officers there.
