Mandya, Karnataka: In a major boost to scientific crime investigation, the Mandya District Police have received a state-of-the-art Mobile Forensic Van, enhancing the district’s capability to investigate crimes quickly, accurately, and professionally.
The newly introduced forensic vehicle was inspected by District Superintendent of Police Shobharani V. J. IPS on 14 July 2026. Equipped with modern forensic tools and technology, the mobile unit is designed to provide on-the-spot technical assistance for the collection, preservation, and analysis of scientific evidence from crime scenes.
The advanced forensic van will enable investigators to examine evidence more efficiently, reduce delays in forensic processing, and improve the quality of criminal investigations. By ensuring proper handling of physical and scientific evidence at the scene of crime, the vehicle will help strengthen investigations and support successful prosecution in courts.
The introduction of the mobile forensic van reflects the government’s commitment to modernizing policing through technology and scientific methods.
