Chennai, Tamil Nadu: By God’s grace, News Media Association of India, Police News Plus and Udhavum Ullangal Foundation jointly provided medical assistance to four individuals suffering from diabetes. Financial assistance was provided for the medical expenses of Abdur Salam from Veppampattai, who was suffering from diabetes and had his right leg amputated through surgery.
Mohana, a resident of K.K. Nagar, who is undergoing treatment for a fracture in her left leg, was provided with financial assistance for her medical expenses. A young boy from Mayiladuthurai district, who is receiving treatment for a dislocated joint in his leg sustained while playing, was also provided with financial assistance for his medical expenses. Sadiq Batcha from Guduvanchery, Chennai, who is undergoing heart surgery, was provided with financial assistance for his medical expenses. Several thousand rupees were donated for this noble cause. The arrangements for this event were coordinated by Mr. Mohamed Moosa, the North Zone Press Secretary of the News Media Association of India’s Social Service wing, and his team, under the guidance of Mr. A. Charles, the National President of the News Media Association of India and Editor of Police News Plus. Mr. Mohamed Moosa’s dedication to this cause, considering it an integral part of his life and making public service his life’s breathe, is commendable.
