Bidar: Bidar SP Mr. Channabasavanna Langote IPS informed that a meeting of the police officers of Maharashtra, Telangana border region and Bidar district is being held in the city today regarding the inter-state border crime as directed by the Election Commission in view of the upcoming assembly elections.
Presiding over the meeting, he said that Bidar district shares a border of about 425 km with the neighboring states of Maharashtra and Telangana. In this context, the police officers of Maharashtra and Telangana border region along Bidar border have participated in today’s meeting,
SP Mr. Channabasavanna Langote IPS informed that there was a discussion in the meeting about setting up of check posts, monitoring the illicit traffic of narcotics, liquor and seeking cooperation during the election.
