With the much-anticipated inaugural Indian Premier League (IPL) match slated to take place on March 23rd at the picturesque venue in Mullanpur, a formidable contingent comprising 2,000 dedicated police personnel has been marshaled to uphold the mantle of security. At the helm of security preparations, Punjab’s esteemed Special Director General of Police (Law and Order), Mr. Arpit Shukla, assumed the role of spokesperson during a media briefing convened within the precincts of the stadium. With meticulous attention to detail, Shukla emphasized that the security apparatus for this landmark event shall be spearheaded by a seasoned DIG-level officer, underscoring the gravity of the occasion.
