<![CDATA[A boy allegedly shot a girl and then shot himself at Indirapuram police station area in Ghaziabad on Wednesday night. The boy allegedly used his father’s licensed weapon in the crime. The police said that both of them have been admitted to a private hospital. Explaining the details a senior police officer said that the incident took place around 8 p.m. On hearing gunshots, a passerby reached the spot and found the girl lying in a pool of blood. The boy had fled the scene but was, however, traced by the police within an hour. The police said both of them have bullet injuries to their heads. “As both are under treatment, we are not certain about the sequence of events. Some locals have told us that the two study together at a private tuition. The boy reportedly stopped the girl near Varta Lok residential society and were talking to each other. The boy then took out a pistol and opened fire on the girl before shooting himself,” a police officer said. He added that the boy studies in Class XI while the girl studies in Class X. The boy’s father is a property dealer. Following the incident, the police cordoned off the area and a team picked up samples from the scene. The police are looking into nearby CCTV cameras for leads as the two have not been questioned so far. The weapon’s license was seized from the boy’s bag.
