Hyderabad, Telangana: Hyderabad Police have intensified security measures ahead of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations to ensure peaceful and incident-free festivities. As part of the preparations, Additional Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) and Joint Commissioner of Police, South Range, Tafseer Iqbal, IPS, inspected the Rajendranagar ACP Division Office on Monday and reviewed the law-and-order arrangements.
During the review, officials were directed to give special attention to the speedy disposal of pending SC/ST cases and trial cases. He also stressed effective manpower management for Ganesh festival bandobust and instructed officers to ensure adequate deployment of personnel at sensitive locations.
The officials were advised to establish vigilance and security committees in every locality and continuously monitor the situation. Coordination with GHMC and other civic departments was also emphasized to ensure smooth idol installation, processions and immersion without any untoward incidents.
Police were instructed to hold meetings with Ganesh mandap organisers and create awareness about safety guidelines and law-and-order responsibilities.
Rajendranagar Zone DCP S. Srinivas, IPS, along with the SHOs of Attapur and Rajendranagar Police Stations and other senior officials, attended the review meeting.
Hyderabad Police said they are fully prepared to ensure safe and peaceful Ganesh celebrations with the cooperation of the public.
