Idukki, Kerala: In a commendable initiative to enhance the safety and confidence of young people, the Idukki District Police organized a free self-defense training program for students of Kanjikuzhi Nanki City School and SNHS School under the Janamaithri Suraksha Project.
The training was conducted by Civil Police Officers Smt. Resina K.B. and Smt. Monsieur Isaac, who serve as certified self-defence trainers with the district police. Through practical demonstrations and hands-on sessions, the officers equipped students with essential self-protection techniques while fostering confidence, awareness, and the ability to respond effectively in challenging situations.
The initiative reflects the Idukki Police’s commitment to community policing and women’s safety by providing valuable life skills at no cost. The district police have also invited schools, colleges, institutions, and interested groups to avail themselves of this free training, ensuring that more people benefit from self-defense education.
By promoting personal safety, confidence, and preparedness, the Idukki Police continue to strengthen community trust and empower the younger generation through meaningful public service.
