Prakasam : The Prakasam District SP Mrs. Malika Garg IPS appreciated the police personnel who hunted down the highway Dacoity gang. The complainant, Mohibulla Baig(22) of Vijayawada City, a Clerk of R.S. Jewelers, Vijayawada, used to visit Nandyala every Saturday to take gold ornament orders and collect due amounts and raw Gold from customer shops. On 24.12.2022, the complainant visited Nandyala and, after collecting cash and raw Gold from customer shops, returned to Vijayawada along with two clerks of S.J.S. Jewelers, Narasaraopeta one clerk of Vijaya Bhaskar Jewelers, Narasaraopeta by the Baleno Car bearing registration No.AP 39 N 1415 which belongs to the owner of S.J.S. Jewelers. In en-route after crossing Pacherla Check post, near Diguvametta Forest Checkpost at 23.50 hours, 7 unknown miscreants, who came in white color Swift Dzire Car, intercepted the Baleno car, assaulted them with sticks and stones and robbed a total of 21 lakhs rupees of cash and 2.1 kg gold ornaments belongs to S.J.S Jewelers, R.S. Jewelers, Vijayawada, and Vijaya Bhaskar Jewelers, Narasaraopeta and fled along with the Baleno Car. The complainant came to Giddalur Police Station on 25.12.2022 and reported the occurrence. Later, police located the victim’s vehicle and recovered the 1650 grams of Gold and 14 lakhs of cash from a secret locker .
The Superintendent of Police, Prakasam District, Mrs. Malika Garg, I.P.S., took this incident on a serious note and personally supervised the case and directed Addl. S.P., Crimes, D.S.P. Disha, S.D.P.O.Markapuram and CIs, Giddalur, Podili, Ongole Rural, Markapur, and Cumbum to detect the case immediately. Three teams with S.I’s of Giddalur, Komarole, and Racherla under the supervision of C.I Giddalur was formed, and the teams visited the scene of the offense and collected physical and technical evidence. They collected all the data from Toll Gates and Forest Check Posts and investigated the case meticulously using technology. The team identified a suspicious crime vehicle at Mahanandi, and by this clue, the team made efforts, tracked the route of entry and exit of the crime vehicle, and cleverly succeeded in locating the registration number of the car, which helped the team to crack the case by apprehending the dacoity gang in Narasaraopet on 29.12. 2022.
Property Lost:- 7 lakhs cash and 425 Grams gold ornaments. Property Recovered:- On 29.12.2022 at 20.30 hours C.I. Giddalur and his team arrested all the accused persons and seized Rs.2,75,000/- cash and 425 Grams gold from the possession of accused and also seized white color Swift Dzire Car bearing Regd.No.AP 07 BQ 6969, black color Bajaj Pulsar Motorcycle, two sticks used in the offense. The S.P of Prakasam District Mrs. Malika Garg, I.P.S., appreciated the police team who participated in cracking this sensational case in a short span and declared rewards to the investigation team.
