Bathinda, Punjab: Punjab Police has significantly intensified its fight against narco-terrorism by deploying cutting-edge technology to dismantle smuggling networks. With an investment of ₹2 crore in advanced tools, the force is now equipped to track crypto currency transactions and monitor dark web activities linked to the drug trade.
An additional ₹12 crore has been allocated to strengthen the capabilities of the Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) and various district units, particularly to counter drone-based smuggling operations across the international border.
Under the ongoing War on Drugs initiative, more than 750 contact community outreach programs have been conducted to enhance public participation. FIRs are now being registered based on verified intelligence inputs received through the Safe Punjab Helpline at 9779100200, ensuring swift and credible action.
The DGP reaffirmed Punjab Police’s commitment to eradicating the drug menace through a combination of robust enforcement and proactive community engagement.
