Chennai: The Commissioner of Police has ordered to initiate stringent action against illegal activities and gambling in Chennai. In this regard, on 03.06.2021, the Inspector of Police, R-5 Virugambakkam Police Station, and his team conducted a raid at Devi Karumariamman theatre at Yadhaval Street, Virugambakkam and arrested 1.Punithan, M/33, Saligramam, 2.Mohammed Asif, M/32, Saligramam, 3.Krishnan, M/36, Virugambakkam and 2 others for indulging in gambling illegally. Cash Rs.2200/- and a deck of cards were seized from them. Legal action is being pursued against them.
