Rachakonda: International Women’s day Virtual day 2 session on Gender Sensitization of IWD 2022 theme on Break The Bias by Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mr. Mahesh Muralidhar Bhagwat IPS today 27-Feb-2022 for RKSC Member companies and their families.
CP Rachakonda spoke about an inclusive society that primarily begins at home. He has emphasized the role each one plays such as family, children, and teachers in breaking the bias. He reiterated the importance of equality and parental role towards building an equal world.
Mrs. Amina Hussain spoke about the gender definition and differences of Sex and Gender. Went back to the roots of how Gender differentiation was established and continued for generations, while we are progressing there lot more to do. Integrated Efforts are required to bring this change which has to start from home. Parents must start inculcating the quality of equality. It’s time men take the lead role and drive towards equality.
Ms. Kiranmai Varigonda discussed how we can overcome discrimination at the workplace. She also emphasized how industries can contribute to building an equal world through a hiring policy that is based on skill rather than gender.
The session was attended by about 60+ families (in total about 200+ participants) which included enthusiastic parents, would-be parents. The children showed a lot of enthusiasm through pertinent questions and requested for lot more such sessions in their community. The children, families, and security council members appreciated this empowering session organized by RKSC & Rachakonda police. RKSC Women’s forum Joint Secretary Ms.Latha Ramsubramanian, Chief coordinator Ms. Savitri, Margdarshak Ms. Archana Manne has coordinated this program. CP has appreciated them.
