Rachakonda: In Rachakonda Commissionerate conducting Operation Smile’ in the month of January and Operation Muskaan’ in the month of July every year from 2017 onwards to trace out missing children, Potential Child Labour, Bonded child labor, and Adolescents in Hazardous Occupations during the operations.
For these operations, a total of 8 teams were formed Division- wise in Rachakonda Commissionerate consisting of 1 SI and 4 PCs in each Sub-Division, one AHT Rachakonda Team, and 8 She Teams Division-wise also conducting operations to rescue the children.
During the year 2022, conducted Operation Smile-VIII’ and a total of 166 Children were rescued in the limits of Rachakonda Commissionerate. Out of which 105 Boys and15 Girls belong to within the State and 38 Boys and 8 Girls belong to other states such as Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Maharastra, Odissa, West Bengal, and Bihar.

During the operations, 6 cases were registered under sections of the “Juvenile Justice Act and Child Labour Act” against the managements, who engaged minor children in various works, in which 9 accused persons were arrested and rescued 27 children from various workplaces.
During the operation’s total of 156 children, details were enrolled and 167 children details were searched in the “Darpan App”.
Since the year 2017 Work Sites schools are started for migrant workers children from Odisha in the Oriya language by Rachakonda police in partnership with NGO Aid at Action, Brick kiln workers association, District Collectors of Rangareddy, and Yadadri Bhongir District so that these children are not doing child labor work. This project received the International award in civil and Human rights from IACP USA in 2018. This year 11 schools are running with 1000 children. The first time Marathi medium school too started in Keesara Mandal for children of Maharashtra based migrant workers.
